Rochester's DIY Studio
Canadaway Records is a hybrid digital/analog studio located in Rochester’s historic 19th Ward district. Available for overdubs/sweetening and mixing of previously-recorded music as well as limited live tracking, the studio provides a comfortable and well-appointed environment to foster creativity and provide options not always available to the home recorder while remaining affordable and accessible to all with a goal to achieve.
Owner/engineer Ben Baker (they/them) — with a long history of recording music in non-traditional spaces and with non-traditional people — is prepared to work with you creatively and collaboratively to help realize your vision.
Gear is also available for remote work: we can come to you and record in your space, rehearsal room, or capture live shows in full multitrack for mixing and further attention back at HQ. Contact us today!
